Wine Road Križevci-Kalnik-Orehovec was founded in September 2013 and, as part of wine-growing region west of continental Croatia, subregion Prigorje-Bilogora, vineyards Kalnik. It is passing through the area of the City of Križevci and the municipalities of Kalnik and Sv. Petar Orehovec. With excellent wines and rich cuisine, the 14 members of the wine road - growers, winemakers and restaurateurs offers a large number of natural, cultural and entertainment facilities. In this area of white wines dominate riesling, chardonnay, pinot, and also sylvaner, sauvignon, muscat and traminer. Among the most common varieties of black wines most known is frankovka and pinot and portugizac. Traditional variety of the area is Kleščec, with whose revitalization started several years ago.
