Križevci :: Križevci Statutes

Written rules for good table manners, genuine feasts and joys, first mentioned in the 18th century, without which the parties and celebrations were hardly conceivable. By the Statues of Križevci, in any companionable wine-drinking three toasts must be held: "toast to the homeland, good fellowship and better sex" and by the pronunciation it cherished old, coded way of speaking. The Statues of Križevci advocate primarily happiness and joy in a good society where the friendship and good human relations are spread, but specifically warn that consumption of wine and spirits is done with measure, since everything that is done over the measure is not good for the individual, nor society.
