Križevci :: Karas House – today City Museum

Karas House is categorized under the oldest most preserved structures of Križevci. Its structure has an irregular “U” layout and its present appearance came into being in the 18th century while other parts of the structures are somewhat older. It used to be a Pauline lodge, then the first public pharmacy and later a local tavern. The entrance of the house was on the south side, and the year 1796 was carved on top of the doorway. The town’s museum was situated inside of it after its adaptation in 1961. In the patio of the museum, there is an ethno park with examples of ancient traditional architecture of the Kalnik region.
